Raman & Spencer // Intimate Sikh Wedding, Oakland California

Raman and Spencer went from a 250 guest count to 30ish. That’s what a pandemic does to weddings. It forces folks to dig super deep and name those that are the closest true blues as guests. We may not get the big bash (which is ALSO incredible) but we do get a renewed sense of tender intimacy that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to tap into on a wedding day.

What these two have going for them, besides their undying love and adoration for one another (which was palpable) is a network of loved ones supporting and loving them deeply. Family formals are often the least favorite 30 minutes of couples on a wedding day and I have to say, not always my favorite either. But these guys! Wow :) They all looked at the camera for that “one”, you know, and then they just simply enjoyed each other’s company! At the end of the day they ended up with a gaggle of images of the small groups laughing and hugging and my golly it’s 1000% genuine. I smiled at their joy the entire time I was editing them. Truth. (If you’d like to know how to achieve that yourself a) like each other, b) leave enough time to enjoy one another during that portion of your day!)

Also… as you can see these two and their folks love to laugh and smile. It was an honor and pleasure to follow them around 3 cities doing the same with them. Thank you Raman & Spencer! I wish you all the love and joy always!
